Senior citizen feeling ripped off

I enjoyed my Jitterbug cellphone. Soon my charger stopped working. Before the charger stopped working, the phone became unable to receive calls. Slowly it did not receive nor send out. A terrible, terrifying state when a senior woman is living in a rural area alone for most of the weekdays until her husband comes home for the weekend.
Feeling desperate, I made a landline call to a support tech. Her totally unhelpful attitude proved to be irritating. She disregarded for my request for a total refund. She then gave me a verbal abuse statement that basically you are stuck with it. If I wanted a replacement, I would be without service for 2 weeks and would still be liable to pay.
I am totally disappointed and will discourage anyone from supporting this company.
So, I have to buy another cellphone, adding more costs.
Why didn't the agent simply refund my hard earned money and let me return it?
Anyone reading tgis, don't buy this product because once you spend your money YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.
